Narrated by Orson Welles, Rikki Tikki Tavi is the story of a young mongoose, rescued from drowning and later adopted as a pet by an English family in Colonial India. Rikki is a friendly, bright-eyed creature who is only too happy to take up residence in the household, patrolling the gardens on the lookout for snakes and curling up at night with his young master, Teddy. And there are snakes for Rikki to guard against, for two deadly black cobras named Nag and Nagaina lurk about the grounds. Nag and Nagaina have a nest full of eggs ready to hatch, and they're plotting to kill the human family in order to take over the house and garden and raise their young undisturbed. Rikki is not going to allow this to happen, and he must use all of his wits and hunting skills to defend his family from the vicious cobras. DVD includes Bonus Episode: Yankee Doodle Cricket.
